About the Clinic for Medical Oncology

In our Clinic for Medical Oncology, we treat adult cancer patients. Our primary focus is the endeavor to offer our patients the best possible individual outpatient or inpatient therapy. Together with medical colleagues from all participating disciplines, we develop a comprehensive treatment concept. As a national and international study center, we can involve patients in clinical trials to improve individual chances of recovery and extend life. Using the latest scientific findings, we also adapt therapy to the complex requirements of elderly patients. Since its founding, our department has always been interested in further developing existing therapy standards; we can now look back on participation in over 180 studies.

In addition to surgical interventions according to the latest medical standards, guideline-oriented chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and so-called targeted tumor therapy, those seeking help benefit from an interdisciplinary network of experts – from psycho-oncological support, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy to nutritional counseling and integrative, naturopathically oriented co-treatment.
