About the Department of Thoracic Surgery in Essen
Time – plays a role for us in two respects. We take time for consultations and ward rounds. Our goal is timely diagnostics and therapy. This prevents the progression of the disease and shortens the period of uncertainty for those affected.
Excellence in diagnostics and therapy – we ensure this through our highly qualified and very experienced team. Our patients benefit from careful diagnostics and surgical treatment based on the latest scientific findings. Depending on the findings, we use tissue-sparing, minimally invasive, and robot-assisted surgical techniques.
Interdisciplinarity – is standard practice for us. Thanks to the close collaboration with the other specialist departments of the Evang. Kliniken Essen-Mitte, we guarantee individually optimally coordinated therapy. In interdisciplinary case conferences, all experts involved in the treatment process discuss each patient’s case.
