Minimally invasive tumor therapies
The Center for Minimally Invasive Tumor Therapies (MIKROMED) brings together interventional radiology and medical oncology for holistic tumor treatment.
Treatment focuses on localized tumors in the liver, kidney, bone and lung—targeted using chemotherapy, radiation, heat, cold or electricity.
Thanks to modern minimally invasive procedures, healthy tissue is largely spared. The therapy is tailored individually and is used in particular when standard procedures are not sufficiently effective.
