Specialist Nurses for Supportive Cancer Therapy

With compassion and expertise – our OSCNs provide individual and professional support to our patients throughout their cancer journey, from palliative diagnosis to the dying process. As members of the large therapeutic team in the Clinic for Internal Oncology, the OSCNs are experts in supporting cancer patients and their families. They monitor symptoms, offer emotional support, coordinate care, therapists, and keep an eye on the need for support in the home environment. Thus, the OSCNs serve as an interface between the patient and the doctor, therapists, general practitioners, and nursing services, playing an important role in individual cancer treatment.

During your hospital stay, the OSCN will visit you in the ward or day clinic. You are also welcome to contact the specialist nurse by phone from home with any questions or concerns.
