In Case of Emergency
Should you require an ambulance or emergency doctor, please contact the emergency control center by phone at 112. As an emergency, you will be admitted to the central internal medicine emergency department of Evang. Kliniken Essen-Mitte or directly to the intensive care unit. After a thorough examination in the emergency department, you will then be transferred either to our intensive care unit or to the general ward.
Upon Referral from your General Practitioner
If you are referred by your general practitioner for inpatient treatment with us, an admission appointment has certainly already been arranged.
Please bring:
- Doctor’s or hospital reports
- Your medications or a list of medications you take regularly
- Patient power of attorney and advance directive
Diagnostic Functional Area
Our diagnostic functional area is located on the entrance level next to the intensive care unit. From there, you will be called for the respective examinations – after registration by your ward doctor. Our technical assistants, Nicole Reintgens and Nicole Kemper, are available to assist you here.
Even though we strive to bundle examinations in the functional area to optimize timing, waiting times cannot always be avoided. We thank you for your understanding.
